Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left for the US where they were granted asylum. Her parents raised her two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada got her start in the world of television by appearing in a couple of National Commercials. She was honored with the award in recognition of her role as Chiara, the main character in Laura Neri's 2004 movie A Kiss on the Nose. She has appeared in television shows like How I Met Your Mother and Entourage. Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych, and Castle. Most recently, she played an supporting role on the show Blood Shot. Blood Shot (2009). She also appeared as an uninvolved comedian in You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada began her career in General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital called Night Shift Ghanizada appeared as Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor.
